Orders & payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna (buy now pay later), Maestro, iDEAL, and Bancontact. All payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We start processing orders very quickly, so please contact us at hello@meive.nl as soon as possible if you need to make a change. If your order has already been dispatched, we're unable to intercept it — but you're welcome to return it once received.
Do I need an account to order?
No — you can checkout as a guest. However, creating an account lets you track orders, view your purchase history, and save your addresses for faster checkout in the future.
Is it safe to pay on Meive?
Absolutely. Our store is secured with SSL encryption and all payments are handled by Shopify Payments — a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never store your card details.
Shipping & delivery
How long will my order take to arrive?
Netherlands: 1–2 business days. Belgium & Germany: 2–3 days. Rest of EU: 3–5 days. UK: 4–7 days. Orders placed before 14:00 CET on business days are typically dispatched the same day.
How much is shipping?
Shipping within the Netherlands is €3.95, and is free on orders over €35. For Belgium and Germany it's €5.95 (free over €45). EU-wide shipping is €7.95 (free over €65). See our full Shipping & Returns page for all rates.
Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
No. All orders to EU countries are shipped from the Netherlands, so there are no customs charges for EU customers. UK customers may be subject to import duties on orders over £135 — we'll mark the customs value accurately on all shipments.
How do I track my order?
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link as soon as your order is dispatched. You can also track your order on our Track my order page. If you checked out as a guest, use the tracking number from your email directly on the carrier's website.
Products & authenticity
Are the products on Meive authentic?
Yes — 100%. We source exclusively from authorised Korean distributors and verify every shipment before it reaches our warehouse. We never deal in grey market or counterfeit goods. Your skin deserves the real thing.
Are the products EU-compliant?
Yes. All products we stock comply with EU cosmetics regulations (EC 1223/2009). Where required, products are registered on the CPNP (Cosmetic Products Notification Portal) before they go on sale.
Are the products cruelty-free and vegan?
Many of the brands we carry are cruelty-free, and a growing number offer vegan formulas. We label each product clearly on the product page — look for the 🌿 vegan badge and the cruelty-free indicator. If you're unsure about a specific product, please ask us.
The product instructions are in Korean — can you help?
Of course! All product pages include translated usage instructions in English and Dutch. If you need more detail, just email us or check the brand's official international website.
Skincare advice
I'm new to K-beauty — where do I start?

Can you recommend products for my skin type?
Absolutely. Use our browse-by-concern collections (brightening, acne, anti-ageing, sensitive skin, deep hydration) to find products matched to your skin's needs. Or email us at hello@meive.nl and our team will be happy to give personalised recommendations.
What's the difference between a toner, essence, and serum?
Great question! A toner is the first hydration step — it balances skin pH and preps it to absorb what comes next. An essence is thinner than a serum and packed with hydrating actives — think of it as a concentrated dose of moisture. A serum or ampoule contains the highest concentration of active ingredients (niacinamide, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, etc.) and targets specific concerns. You apply them thinnest to thickest.
Returns & refunds
Can I return a product I've opened?
For hygiene reasons, we're unable to accept returns on opened or used skincare products. However, if a product has caused an adverse skin reaction, please contact us — we'll look at each situation individually and do our best to help.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we'll process your refund within 3–5 business days. The funds typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card provider.
